Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This large flower grows up to 3.2 feet (97 cm) tall. Its dark brown stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 6 and are thick and straight, and split into numerous branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the tiny, orange-yellow leaves are fan-like with tattered edges. 16 leaves grow at the base of the stem.
Each stem splits 3 to 6 times; a single large flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 58 cm (22.8 inches) wide, with caramel petals on the lower layer and amber petals decorated with blue dots on the inner layer. The central disk is black. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. They are sturdy.
It has a strong scent that smells like glue, and it has lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.
