Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 30 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in delicate, rough, yellow bark, and inside, the very hard wood is black with white speckles.

The small handful of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with handfuls of small, stiff, pointed leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are either dark brown or indigo, with copper edges.

In early spring, it produces clusters of large, crimson blossoms with spear shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have the faintest scent that smells like mango.

In early summer it produces , wide fruit. The soft violet skin is peel-able and edible when cooked; it is very sour, and the very soft aquamarine flesh is sweet and sticky. The dark brown seed is large and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
