Serpentine Willow

This average-sized tree grows up to 28 meters (91.9 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 409 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, angular trunk covered in thick, ridged, brown and grey bark, and inside, the very dense wood is yellow-brown.

The excessive amount of branches are long and thin and are covered with thick bunches of sticky, small, thick leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in peach, magenta and blood red varieties.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, white blossoms with kidney-shaped petals. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like petrol.

In late summer it forms giant, orange, shelled seeds.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
