Spike Moss

This moss green moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In rainy mountain ranges, and In marshes.
It is large, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely hardy; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release hundred of spores.
