Goldenleaf Bellflower
Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 61 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has dozens of knobbly, wonky stems covered in knobbly, mahogany-coloured bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.
The branches trail down towards the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of tiny, 6 pointed, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are solid gold with cyan lines, light and waxy.
It produces copious amounts of large, caramel flowers with broad, flat petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like a newborn baby. In early winter it forms smallyellow, winged seeds that float and land far away.
