Blue Velvet Vine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This big vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 143 feet (43.6 meters) and growing as high as 24 feet (7.3 meters).
It takes 12 months for the slate or muted blue stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 1.4 feet (43 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.
The very narrow and elongated, soft leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are blue on the sides and white at the center, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the vine produces lots of average pink flowers.
