Copper Spikegrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)

This short, yellow-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The 6 pointed stalks grow in thin clumps that are resilient and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, copper spikelet.

During the early summer, it produces lots of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
