Bloodspine Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This big leaf succulent grows up to 83 feet (25.3 meters) tall. The wide stem is yellow or yellow, and is covered in brittle grey spines. The ripped-edged, sickle shaped leaves are solid blood red or bright blue, with indigo lines. Small amounts of them grow from the base in tight-packed layers. The leaves are durable, and do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are purple on the underside and magenta on the top grows at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like faeces.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the bronze flesh is smooth, and the orange sap is thin.

The stems are covered in large spikes.
