Slategrass

This big, gray-green and slate grass grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in thick clumps that are strong and tough and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, grey tuft.

During the late summer, it produces an average amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of medium-sized grains.
