Aquamara Fruit Tree

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 17 feet (5.2 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 27 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in delicate, cracked, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the soft wood is yellow-brown.

The small handful of branches are long and thin and are covered with very large amounts of miniature, wispy leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are either copper or green, with aquamarine patches.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, aquamarine blossoms with kidney-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like meat.

In mid-autumn it produces , needle-like fruit. The smooth faded orange skin is peel-able and inedible, and the very soft black flesh is sweet and powdery. The olive seeds are large and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
