Lilac Sunflower

This large flower grows up to 6.3 feet (1.9 meters) tall. Its yellow stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 7 and are thin and straight, and split into numerous branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the small, brown leaves are wide with toothed edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Each stem splits 2 to 5 times; a single large flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 62 cm (24.4 inches) wide, with solid lilac petals decorated with green lines and a black central disk. The flower head is made up of 36 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. They are very delicate.

It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like paint, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.
