Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This average-sized flower grows up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. Its brown stem is thick and splits into 9 branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the large, lime green leaves are grey on the underside and are finger-like with serrated edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.
A single small flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with orange petals and a caramel central disk. The flower head is largely flat with 33 widely spaced round-tipped petals. They detach easily.
