Vine Willow

This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 139 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in thick, silky, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale yellow.

The small handful of branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with small amounts of smooth, giant, very narrow and elongated leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are either caramel, or yellow with beige patches.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, grey seed pods.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
