Firegrass

This big, orange-yellow grass grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in extensive patches that are durable.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, lilac flower.

During the early autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of small grains.
