It has numerous thick, slanted stems covered in waxy, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is white.
The branches are short, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of miniature, pleated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in white and olive varieties, hardy and smooth.
It produces thick bunches of small, azure flowers with crescent-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like cinnamon. In mid-autumn it forms medium-sizedcrimson, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
