Skunkweed Succulent
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 51 feet (15.5 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is brown, and is covered in brittle subtle yellow spines. The knobbly leaves are green on the sides and white at the center. Large amounts of them grow on very thick, yellow-green branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are resilient, and detach easily.
It is quick growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with turquoise petals and a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. It has an intense scent that smells like skunk spray.
The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the bright green flesh is slimy, and the dark grey sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.
