Yellow Mountain Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In rainy mountain ranges, and In heathlands.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly robust; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores.
