Stonewort Grass

This small, yellow-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The asymmetrical stalks grow in thick clumps that are sturdy and flexible and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, slate flower.

During the late summer, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.
