Emerald Clump Moss

This gray moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In moorlands, and On trees.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly resistant.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores.
