Twistvine
Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 200 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has dozens of thick, crooked stems covered in delicate, knobbly, black with white speckled bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.
The branches are long and slender with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of small, thick, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are either purple, or blood red with blue dots, frail and crispy.
In mid-spring it produces thousands of medium-sized, purple flowers with 7 kidney-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a weak scent that smells like fermented fruit.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It blooms only at night.
