Crimson Bine

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 48 feet (14.6 meters)0.

It takes 3 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are soft and flexible.

The perforated, soft leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) in length. They are solid aquamarine or copper, with azure lines, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the bine produces large amounts of large crimson flowers.
