Coilvine

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 175 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many long and flexible, curved stems covered in thick, knobbly, gray bark, and the wood inside is dark brown.

The branches trail down towards the ground that and are covered with thick bunches of small, circular, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are gray with turquoise tips, delicate and crispy.

In mid-spring it produces several large, blue flowers with broad, flat petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like rotten eggs.
