Coniapple Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 82 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a flexible, angular trunk covered in ridged, silver and white bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is light brown.

The excessive amount of branches are short and slender and are covered with large amounts of large, 9 pointed leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are solid azure with indigo patches.

In early spring, it produces a thick sheet of tiny, copper blossoms with wide petals. They are hardy and have an overpowering scent that smells like burning wood.

In mid-summer it produces tiny, fan-like fruit. The sticky lilac skin is tough and sweet and sour, and the very soft ashy green flesh is sweet and sticky. The lime seed is tiny and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is suitable for making strong rope
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is overwhelmingly resistant to fire damage.
