Sapurple Tree

This short tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 148 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a branched, angular trunk covered in cracked, brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is dark brown.

The abundance of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of smooth, large, wispy leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are dark purple and faded orange.

In late summer it forms large, orange, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
