Vinebirch

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 473 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wonky trunk covered in thin, waxy, brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is black with white speckles.

The branches are very long and thin and are covered with small amounts of soft, miniature, long, tapering leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are caramel on the sides and vivid blue at the center.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, gold, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
