Crimson Emerald Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In bogs, and In rainforests.
It is big, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very hardy.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores.
