Spiny Knobleaf

This short leaf succulent grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The tapering stem is yellow, and is covered in lots of rigid beige spines. The knobbly leaves are either orange, or blue with sky blue edges. Large amounts of them grow on very thick, cream or beige branches that are long and thin. The leaves are rigid, but take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 39 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with peach petals that gradient shift to amber on the outer edge. The central disk is peach, grow at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is made up of 7 petals in raised layers. It has a weak scent that smells like coconut.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the amber flesh is rough, and the pink sap is thin.
