Vineclasp

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 12 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has many long and flexible, angular stems covered in silky, brown bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of large, wispy, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are found in bronze, bold yellow and caramel varieties, sturdy and rough.

In early spring it produces copious amounts of large, bold yellow blossoms with circular petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like wet dog.

In early winter circular fruits ripen. The clammy blue skin is stretchy and edible when roasted; it is salty, and the crunchy olive flesh is bland and syrupy. The white seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.

All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It blooms only at night.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is bio-luminescent.
