Violettail Grass

This colossal, beige grass grows up to 27 feet (8.2 meters) tall. The fan-like stalks grow in large clumps that are strong and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, violet tail.

During the early summer, it produces copious amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of small grains.
