Waterstem Grass

This short, yellow-green or light grey grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in small clumps that are flexible and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, white tuft.

During the early autumn, it produces a modest amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of large grains.
