Bloodgrass

This short, magenta grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The perforated stalks grow in sparse patches that are light and frail.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, blood red puff.

During the late summer, it produces very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of giant grains.
