Clinging Sunflower
Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This average-sized flower grows up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) tall. Its gray-green stem is thick, and the giant, yellow-green leaves are thin with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
A single small flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with magenta petals and a yellow center. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of tightly layered narrow petals. They are very delicate.
It has an overpowering scent that smells like freshly washed clothes, and it has a fair amount of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
