Golden Spine Caudiciform

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 28 feet (8.5 meters) tall. The finger-like stem is gray, and is covered in thick sheets of rigid light yellow spines. The stumpy, gold trunk can grow to as much as 28 feet (8.5 meters) in diameter. Its orange branches are short, rigid and upright.

The wavy-edged, very thin leaves are found in drab purple, magenta and ashy orange varieties. They are resilient, but take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 11 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are either slate or silver, with a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is largely flat with 57 raised round-tipped petals. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like cotton.

The caudiciform's skin is rock-hard, the violet flesh is rubbery, and the copper sap is thin.
