Magenta Puffgrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized, pink-red grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The wispy stalks grow in small clumps that are durable.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, magenta puff.

During the mid-autumn, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of giant grains.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
