Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This small fruit tree grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 48 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in thin, silky, dark green bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale yellow.
The excessive amount of branches are short and thin and are covered with small bunches of miniature, circular leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in turquoise and green varieties.
In early spring, it produces many giant, caramel blossoms with needle-like petals. They are very delicate and have a mildly strong scent that smells like wet dog.
In late summer it produces , long, tapering fruit. The sticky sky blue skin is tough and bitter and sour, and the slightly crunchy amber flesh is sweet and spicy and oily. The black seeds are tiny and are bunched at the top of the fruit.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
