Crimson Crest Moss

This red and muted red moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In bogs, In moorlands, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is colossal, growing up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely rigid.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
