Cliffvine

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 15 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has many sturdy, curved stems covered in hard, waxy, gray bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches trail down to the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, asymmetrical, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are grey on the edges and silver at the center, flimsy and soft.

In late spring it produces lots of medium-sized, bright green blossoms with broad, flat petals. They fall easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like a damp log.

In midwinter spherical fruits ripen. The waxy lilac skin is delicate and inedible, and the soft lime flesh is salty and sour and sticky. The gold seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is suitable for making strong rope
