Speckled Sickleleaf Tree

This short tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 521 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in fine, cracked, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the soft wood is black with white speckles.

The large clumps of branches are short stubs and are covered with very large amounts of sticky, giant, sickle shaped leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are orange-yellow with dull red tips.

In late summer it forms tiny, silver, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
