Yellow Thorned Tripod

This modest-sized caudiciform grows up to 60 feet (18.3 meters) tall. The very thin stem is yellow, and is dotted with small black spines. It has a straight, thin, yellow trunk atop a thick tripod of rough, exposed roots. The branches are flat and gray and are short and thin.

The irregular-edged, broad, flat leaves are generally bronze. They are frail, and take some effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with crimson petals on the lower layer and ashy blue petals decorated with blue dots on the inner layer. The central disk is blood red grow at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like honeysuckle.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the violet flesh is waxy, and the azure sap is thin.
