Violet Vineflower

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its green stems grow in bunches of 5 and are very thin with a curved tip, and the huge, emerald leaves are long, tapering with smooth edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

1 to 5 tiny flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with petals that are silver on the edges and violet at the center. The flower head is shaped like a cube with 13 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. They are hardy.

It has a soft scent that smells like pineapple, and it has very little pollen. It is a self-pollinator.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
The leaves are excellent for making pulp fibers.
It is overwhelmingly resistant to fire damage.
