Eternal Pine

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, angular trunk covered in very thick, waxy, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is black with white speckles.

The branches trail down towards the ground, covered with large amounts of large, silver needles. The needles themselves are light.

In late summer it produces giant, dark brown, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
