Bluebell Bush

This large shrub grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for around 48 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several slender, straight stems covered in hard, knobbly, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.

The branches are very long, thin and wispy with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of huge, slender, pointed, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are solid bright blue or slate, with silver zig-zags, sturdy and soft.

In late summer it produces dozens of tiny, cyan flowers with asymmetrical petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like glue.
