Goldenflower

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its gray stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 8 and are thick and straight, and split into several branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the large, brown leaves are grey on the underside and are stiff, pointed with jagged edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

5 to 8 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 18 cm (7.1 inches) wide, with solid gold petals decorated with dark brown dots and a grey central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 40 petals. They detach easily.

It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like vomit, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
