Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In moorlands, In damp forests, and On trees.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release millions of spores.
