Cyan Petal
Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its red stem is very thick and splits into numerous branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the miniature, pink-red leaves are circular with rounded edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
Hundreds of tiny flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with brilliant blue petals that gradient shift to cyan on the outer edge. The central disk is red. The flower head is made up of 5 petals in raised layers. They detach easily.
It has an intensely strong scent that smells like candle wax, and it has lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
