Lime Green Moss

This yellow-green moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In heathlands.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly flimsy; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
