Goldenbell

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This big caudiciform grows up to 98 feet (29.9 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is gold, and is dotted with small orange spines. The thick, pale green trunk can grow to as much as 98 feet (29.9 meters) in diameter. Its yellow branches trail down to the ground.

The rounded-edged, very thick leaves are turquoise at the bottom and hazel with deep green splotches at the top. They are flimsy, but detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 19 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with alternating petals of violet and indigo, with an amber central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is made up of 10 petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like bleach.

The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the copper flesh is rubbery, and the orange sap is thin.

It is very resistant to fire damage.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
