Emeraldvine

This enormous bine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,370 feet (722.4 meters) and growing as high as 258 feet (78.6 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 2 years for the emerald stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 3.3 feet (99 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The wispy, rough leaves reach up to 3.3 feet (1.0 meters) in length. They are found in brown and intense blue varieties, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the bine produces hundreds of tiny aquamarine flowers.
