The broad, flat, smooth leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are a shade of silver that gradient shifts to pastel purple at the top, and have ripped edges.
During late spring, the vine produces a thick sheet of tiny dark brown flowers.
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
