Brown Moss

This brown moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In rainforests, and In heathlands.
It is large, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is very resistant.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
